I wanted to write you and thank you. My climbing partner, who is my cousin, and I are both Navy SEALs. We have been rock climbing for years and had done a few alpine climbs but last year we decided we wanted to get serious about alpine climbing. We got Training for the New Alpinism and began training last November with the goal of climbing Mount Rainier Liberty Ridge. We got out to Washington and within 8 days we were able to climb Mt. Baker once and Mt. Rainier twice with over 27,000 feet of elevation gain and it was easy! Not only was it easy we were by far the fastest people up and down the mountain. We fully attribute our successful performance on the mountain to your book and training program and we just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge. The training will start again in a few weeks with bigger and higher goals in the future and we a super confident that we will have continued success with following Training for the New Alpinism.
