Hello Pete, here are the test results from my blood test yesterday. I have an appointment with my primary doctor to do a full comprehensive blood test next week. But it looks like an iron shortage. Hopefully a combo of boosting my iron levels and rest will allow my quads to heal?

I just ordered Stacy’s book from the library, thanks!

Thanks Pete, I had a ferritin iron test done this morning. We’ll see what the results say!

    Thanks Pete,
He’s done extensive dry needling along my spine and we didn’t get any positive results, I’ll ask at my next appointment though.

What do you think about this being caused by overtraining, or possibly a poor diet? I check Myfitnesspal around the time I started having pains and my iron levels are consistently 30-40% below the daily recommendation. I don’t know how accurate the app is at tracking that though.,..

You can do the test on a flat track or course since you don’t have the treadmill. The 180-age method is not very reliable.

When I first started training I had to jog for 2-3 minutes then walk for a minute to keep my HR below AET. it could be the same for you.

This is really cool! Great job.

I don’t know my max heart rate, many other people don’t test for it if they’re using UA. can you change the website so it can create the zones without max HR?

My Physical Therapist suggested lacrosse balls to me. I use one on my legs and it feels great. Highly recommend, pack of three at the sports store for $12.

I have no experience with the YTU ones.

    climbgoon,
if you want something that doesn’t have to be charged check the Casio Pro Trek watches. Any of their triple sensor watches will give you altitude, compass, and barometric pressure.

Thank you for the response! I appreciate it.

I was surprised the AeT went up so high, I must of been out of shape during the first test in 2018.

Thanks for posting this, I’ve been experiencing the same thing! I’m in week 4 of the 24 week plan and have gained 5 pounds, and it’s not muscle as I measure my waist.

Does the same thing happen if you skin for 2,500′ starting at say 6,000′ and if you start at 10,000′? What elevation do you live at?

Sit on the floor with legs straight out in front of you, bend one leg back at the knee so your foot is near your butt but your knees are side by side. Hands behind you on the floor and lean back as much as you need for the stretch.

I’m not sure what this stretch is called but it is great form my hamstrings.

If you’re military you can have the test done at the Air Force Academy. Otherwise CU Boulder is the place to be.
