What do you think about walking with a 20 pound weighted vest as cross training ?
On my easy days instead of running. I started doing 30-45 min power hiking around my hood which has some small inclines and declines. Do you think this training can help for mountain races to build some strength and endurance?
I found that power hiking with a weighted vest even at moderate incline , felt like hiking a steep incline on the mountain.
Has anybody tried this?
