The Mountain Performance Workshop, like Training for the New Alpinism and the rest of Uphill Athlete, came about due to popular demand. People simply asked us to come and teach a seminar about how to self-coach for mountain sports. Our original two-day workshop was held in Portland, Oregon, in 2014, and we’ve since conducted private workshops as well as one-day Mountain Performance Workshops in Boulder, Colorado, and Chamonix, France. Starting with the Boulder workshop, we condensed the material and added more practical, actionable information such as a workout library.
